City Guide:

New York City

The city that never sleeps completely captivated me and pulled me in. Every visit to this incredible city has shown me new and different places so this guide will be ever changing. But for now, you'll find some of my favourite places below.

hotel americano 🛏

A warehouse conversion in Chelsea, on a street that used to be full of gay underground clubs... this is definitely a unique and boutique hotel. Overlooking the Highline and a quick walk to all the touristy places, the relaxed attitude that is Hotel Americano was ideal. 518 W 27TH ST

Dream Downtown 🛏

One of the best night's sleep I've ever had was on their beds. Enough said. 355 W 16TH ST

PHD Rooftop Lounge 🍸

Sitting back with a cocktail with my girlfriends watching the sun set over the Empire State Building and Lower East Side was exactly how I imagined spending a New York evening.  355 W 16TH ST

Shake Shack 🍴

You'll find them popped up all over the city, but the original is in Madison Square Park (next to the Flatiron Building). A fresh alternative to the greasy fast food America is known for these burgers and fries definitely hit the spot. Madison Avenue & E.23rd Street

Eataly 🍴

As a huge lover of Italian food a friend suggested I visit Eataly. A restaurant/cafe/providore/supermarket/heaven on earth, Eataly ticked all of the boxes for fresh, good, affordable food. 200 Fifth Avenue

Ovest Pizzoteca 🍴

Having first gone on a whim because it was close to our hotel, we couldn't stop going back. The owners migrated to the Big Apple and started importing their produce to create their incredible pizzas and pastas. The result: an Italian eatery with a line out the door.  513 W 27th St

Doughnuttery 🍴

I was dragged here by my friend Ashleigh who used to live around the corner with the promise that it was some of the best doughnuts I'd ever have. Soft, melt in your mouth moments of flavour. They were sublime. Chelsea Markets

Glossier 🛍

Glossier is one of those brands that don't ship to Australia so when in New York I tend to stock up on everything to use. 123 Lafayette St

To Do  🚕

Get up high! The view of New York from the sky is unbeatable so wherever you are try to get up to the tallest point possible.

It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story.
